Kanye West and the paparazzi meet again, but this time it got physical. TMZ reports Kanye attacked a photographer at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon. As he was leaving the airport terminal earlier this afternoon, West and his bodyguard were surrounded by five paparazzi members who were snapping photos. Things turned physical as one photographer got too close, and allegedly punches were thrown as the photographer fell to the ground. Paramedics and police have been called to the scene as the extent of the photographers injuries are unknown. In a statement released to the media, the Los Angeles Police Department speak on the altercation.

“Today at approximately 2:00 p.m., at the Tom Bradley International Terminal (on the arrival level curbside), Los Angeles Airport Police officers were flagged down by a citizen (photographer) who alleged that he was taking pictures of an individual when he was battered by the subject. The alleged subject was not at the location nor was he observed by officers at the scene. LAFD was notified, responded to the location and transported the victim to a local hospital for medical attention. A police report was taken by the Los Angeles Police Department and the investigation is ongoing.”

UPDATE: TMZ reports the case has been taken to the L.A. County D.A. for possible prosecution on the charge of a felony attempted robbery, as Kanye attempted to take the photographers camera. Taken to hospital, the victim’s current condition is unknown.
